The Annual Civic Holiday Weekend for 2022 was canceled for this year. We hope to see you all back in 2023!
Snowmobiling: The local volunteer OFSC club is the Tri Town Sno Travellers (www.ttst.ca) The club maintains the trail system from Earlton to Elk Lake. The trails from Elk Lake, Gowganda Shining Tree are maintained by the Elk Lake Trail Blazers. Trail conditions can be found on their website.
Cross Country Skiing: The Elk Lake Ski Club has several loops throughout beautiful forested areas of the township. They have both track set and arrange for ski rentals if needed.
Downhill Skiing: The Tri Town Ski & Snowboard Village (www.tritownskivillage.ca) is the area’s only alpine ski hill. It has runs to cater to all ability levels of skiers and also now has a tubing hill for those who prefer that option. The hill has a training lift for beginners and a T-Bar lift up the slope. The club also has rentals and a chalet available for warming up and washrooms.
Skating: The indoor rink at the Community Centre will be open for public skating starting Friday, November 26th, 2021. Masks must be worn unless you are on the ice.
ELK LAKE HERITAGE MUSEUM

This community museum and archives interprets the history of the Elk Lake area. Displays relate the history of the local mining, logging, lumbering and agricultural industries, as well as that of the area’s schools and churches.
