Elk Lake Relay For Life
ELK LAKE RELAY FOR LIFE RAISES $91,402.00
Elk Lake hosted it's 1st Relay For Life for the Canadian Cancer Society on June 22/07. There were 44 teams of 10-12 walkers who took part in the 12 hour
over night relay. They came from Elk Lake, Tri-Towns, Englehart, Kirkland Lake, Gowganda, Matachewan & surrounding areas.
The event opened with the Bag Pipes leading the Survivors Victory Lap.
Approximately 65 survivors along with caregivers started the night and led the way along the track as a celebration of their courage and strength.
The final total came in and Elk Lake raised $91,402.00.
