The Jack Munroe Historical Society of Elk City was founded in 2009. Jack Munroe a professional boxer, municipal leader, prospector, local and war hero; and author.
The founder of Elk City inspired one of the greatest legends of the early 20th Century Canadian mining and one who cannot be forgotten.
His namesake Society, through the creation of the Order of the North is determined to perpetuate the memory of this great Canadian for future generations!
